Here is an update, 14 days and 344 miles later... I mispoke when calling this an OIL catch tank. That, friends, is black gasoline. PURE gasoline.

That's much better. If it was supposed to protect the paint on the hood, we're long past that point.

I also painted the cowling under the windshield today. 3 coats of Adhesion Promoter, 3 coats of Bumper Black. Sometime last year, I painted the wiper arms. They were really rusty. I sanded, primered, and rattle canned them. I can't believe they haven't re-rusted yet.
